PERFORMANCE GROUP

Amongst the varied activities that our association develops, the Traditional Music and Dance Exhibitions which is carried out by a group of people is also present.

Organised as a performance group, the audience is shown a varied repertoire of jotes, fandangos, boleros and mateixes. The traditional costume of Mallorca is also an essential part of this show; so, during the performances a wide variety of reproduced pieces is worn, which go from the beginnings of the 18th century to the end of the 19th century.

The will to show a wide range of costumes means that on top of the stage pieces from different social classes will be observed at the same time. This avoids uniformity and gives a more realistic idea of what could be observed on the streets of Mallorca during the last two centuries.

Naturalness is for us one of the basic premises as we get up a stage; that is why we avoid artificial and unreal theatrical behaviours. In every one of our performances you will find moments of improvisation, happy and spontaneous free dance. Definitely a true party.
